last day of the NYFW and I’m discovering that there was a chocolate fountain at the Chambord booth… actually thank god…
Marc Jacobs by Marc Jacobs Fall 2010

Check out the "Army Red Blanket Stripe Dress", the look, which started the Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2010 collection at the Armory this afternoon. Only Marc Jacobs can simply name a dress "a blanket dress" and have the public constantly wow every single thing he does. Marc Jacobs showed an extensive collection with colorful stripes, the collection with a touch of military, a touch of class and a lot of New York.

His show was so unique, so remote from other designers. Here it’s as if this trendsetter was telling us: "next fall you’ll wear your pumps with socks. Yes, that’s right, with socks."

this is one of my favorite looks from the collection. Check out that hat!!! It’s so amazing, versatile.

ok this is the last picture of THE HAT… I want it, I want it!

the handbags and backpacks all had the fun, multicolor straps

Manolo Blahnik for Zac Posen - Zac Posen Fall 2010 Shoes
The extensive shoe collection Manolo Blahnik for Zac Posen Fall 2010 was phenomenal - array of jewels, furs, fabrics made the Manolo Blahnik for Zac Posen fall shoes sparkle, shine and stand out from the multitude of the NYFW shoes.

Men and Children in High Heels

This photo of Suri Cruise was all over the internet today. Reason? Suri is wearing heels and is not even 4.

How about men in heels? The high heel trend for men could be spotted a lot during the last New York Fashion Week. Is it going to last? Is it going to become mainstream? Seriously…

NYFW - I’m Interviewed by FOX
Yesterday at the NYFW in the tents I was interviewed by Fox 5 about the outfit I was wearing. We had a blast with the Fox journalist Christal Young. What a charming, sweet, fun person. She put me in an excellent mood!

Christal is wearing a gorgeous dress by Temporly of London.
I’m wearing
- Alice + Olivia dress
- black underdress, which I got in Tokyo
- Steve Madden shoes
- Girl with a Jump Rope Handmade Necklace (which I shortened to 14" but it comes as 16")

Necklace and earrings closeup

I’m showing Christal my trick of layering dresses if you’d like a mini dress to be longer.

Having a blast. I hope our laugh is contagious!

laughing a lot…

gets even funnier

Pamella Roland Spring 2010
Pamella Roland’s Spring 2010 collection was inspired by Georgia O’Keefe’s floral combinations, white landscapes and New York at night. It was an extensive collection of day dresses with oversize floral elements as well as sparkly night gowns.

I loved that huge bow element

and the fact that it actually wasn’t a dress but … a pant suit

The collar of this jacket is so dreamy. I have a big weakness for these ruffled collars.

The jewelry designer Pamella Roland collaborated with was Isharya. This necklace is stunning and perfect for this dress.

Isharya bracelet

I ran into a friend, fellow fashion writer Erika Lehmann from ChicShopperChick, at the Pamella Roland show. She flew in for the fashion week. We met last year at the New Media Expo in Las Vegas. It was great to hang out and chat.

I’m wearing:
- Diane von Furstenberg butterfly dress
- brand new Lucid New York butterfly necklace
- Lucid New York teardrop earrings

Carolina Herrera Spring 2010
The inspiration for the Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2010 collection is one of the most unusual ones I have heard. The designer was inspired by Japanese baskets. The clothes, shoes, bags and belts had this interesting "woven look." The colors amber, rose and caramel were drawn from the sky’s palette at the end of the summer day.

I love this bow
